The ATST is a motorized torque / angle tester that is available
in five force ranges: 25, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 in-lb. Fast, quiet testing
with closed loop servo drives. The solid steel base and aluminum frame
is rugged for durability in many different testing environments. The ATST,
like all LSI testers, comes standard with an NIST traceable certificate
of calibration.
FLASH technology was redesigned from the ground up with full color interactive
graphics using a 10.4" LCD touch screen interface and allows for on-demand
statistical and graphical analysis and Larson Systems' new Quick Test and Quick
Launch features. Quick Test automatically finds basic testing points without
having to program anything except torque or angle limits. Quick Launch allows
multiple operators to efficiently use one tester using fast user switching; no
more time wasted saving and loading programs! |
 |
Quick Test
This is spring testing at its easiest — no programming required!
Simply place your part, push the Learn button, and the FLASH automatically
calculates free length, solid height, rate and 20% and 80% deflection.
Descriptive graphics and graphs enhance the Quick Test experience. |
 |
Quick Launch
Imagine a tester capable of quickly handling two or more unique tests at
the same time. Now switch to Quick Launch and you’re there! Easily
switch between different users’ tests or revision levels with a
few quick touches and back again. Now, interrupting “this will
be just a minute” tests really are “just a minute”. |
 |
Manual Mode
With a new intuitive jog switch and “Go To” button, Manual
Mode allows you to manipulate the platform to any length or force you specify
within seconds. |
 |
Program Mode
Complete testing sequences for Automatic Mode are programmed here, and
include the test commands, sorting options and other preferences. |
 |
Automatic Mode
The FLASH Automatic Mode offers completely flexible testing options. View
information by test or by lot. Statistical graphs, X-bar, range graphs
and more!

Absolute Zero
Take the guesswork out of testing with LSI’s revolutionary absolute zeroing
technique. Used with custom interchangeable tooling, this technique improves
repeatability of setups and results during testing. Parts are then measured against
the nominal dimensions according to the drawing or specifications, not to a relative
point requiring intuition and guesswork.
Interchangeable
Tooling
Using LSI's custom interchangeable tooling technique, you can machine tooling
blanks to fit your specific applications or send the information to us and we
will do the work for you.
- Custom tooling is used for repeating parts or specific spring "types" or "families."
- 30-second changeovers with no tools from type to type.
- Identical setups each time.
- Enhanced repeatability.
- Pre-machined blanks make tooling inexpensive and standardized.
- Standard angle zeroing built into the fixture, setup within ± 0.1° every time.
- Better data matching between source and user because of standardization of testing and tooling.
Universal
Tooling
With the universal tooling supplied by LSI, you can test many parts with no special
fittings. This is great for unique or one-time job runs with a minimum of setup
time.
- 2", 3" & 4" universal fittings.
- A conventional approach that has good flexibility in making setups.
- Includes chuck, mandrill set to 17/32" diameter and reaction plate.
Rapid Changeovers
Both custom and universal tooling is designed to be changed in seconds... YES!
In just seconds, you can go from one setup to the next, maintaining your repeatability
and reproducibility. Setups within ± 0.1 degree.

Smart
Interchangeable Torque Cartridges
Switch from one torque cartridge to another in just minutes, allowing for a single
tester to test a wide range of capacities quickly and accurately. Smart torque
cartridges can be digitally calibrated. You can also send in only the
smart torque cartridge to LSI for remote calibration (full system calibration
is better than individual component calibration).
