On
staff is a full engineering department utilizing industry standards such
as the SolidWorks 3D program. Our engineering department is capable
of utilizing your CAD designs, integrating them with our GibbsCAM system
and then transferring them to one of our CNC machines. Having our
own engineering department is also key in effective communication with
other engineering departments across many companies.
SolidWorks is a powerful design tool that we use for creating solid models
to be transferred to our GibbsCAM system. We chose SolidWorks due of its
large file compatibility, and it's wide use throughout the industry. Larson
Systems offers design services to our customers to aid in product development.
Designs done with 3D software can be fit checked and assembled in the computer
before being built. This shortens the development cycle and ensures prototypes
will function right the first time. SolidWorks provides
our design team with all the mechanical CAD, design validation, and
data management tools that they need in one package. 
GibbsCAM is the software we use for creating the cutter paths for our CNC Mills
and Lathes. GibbsCAM allows us to program your parts from an electronic solid
model created in almost any of the current design software. This allows us
to save time, money and ensure high accuracy. With this software, we are able
to use a variety of tooling, speed and feeds to create the optimum operation
before machining evens stars.
